I know it's a terrible adjective but I find it revolting, in a good way though, it's painted incredibly well. It kind of makes me think: if we ever meet aliens, will humans be smart enough to not shoot them just because they are different? I'm not sure what you intended to mean in this painting but it is actually very peaceful. It is remarkable.

for a long time, just by looking at the thumbnail, i thought it was just praying mantises that were having lunch but now that I look it in full size, it is so much more intriguing. Wonderful work, an outstanding work of surrealism

these creatures remind me of Pan's Labyrinth second task--the monster who ate children.

The antithesis of horror mixed in a romantic context gives this picture a grotesque touch, which I find very interesting. The details are worked out very well, as seen in the reflection of the water in their glasses on the checked blanket, the shadings of the figures, the fractures and the relief on the wall, the coppered vase and the metallic effect...there are so many great details! And it is traditional, too! You did a great job on it!
This picture has it's unique charme and I can hardly take my eyes of it.

Honestly don't think this is too creepy. These creatures have an innocent/human-like quality. I could walk around with them and drink tea ^_^
