I've still got it! Yes! Anyways, this is for that one person who said on my pole that they watched me because I made Okami art. So, I wanted to make my fans feel loved. This one's for you guys!If anyone's wondering how I made the kanji look painted, I used Adobe Illustrator and chose the "caligraphy" brush. It's pretty simple, and it felt way too easy! In case anyone else is wondering, the kanji (is supposed to) say "wolf god of the sun". I used google translate so it's not my fault if that's not what it actually says.
I was half and half about shading it. I started a few different styles, but later erased them cuz I felt they didn't quite fit with what I was trying to accomplish, which is a combination of the traditional japanese painting style, and my own. I used the same technique as the kanji to make the art lines, which I found to be quite satisfying! I was afraid the lines would be too thick or just look sloppy, but I tried it anyways and I'm happy with the result!
I know I didn't put in some of the red markings on her, but this is kind of my interpretation. I remember that one picture I made, Leaving You, where I did put in the red on her "feathers" and I wasn't too pleased with it, but kept them on for shits and giggles.
PS Issun isn't in the picture because Ammy's supposed to be on the Celestial Plain. I was just too lazy to draw the whole plain. I decided to put her on the edge of the island.
