Again its time to thank

Remember this post? yellowflowerevy.deviantart.com… well my babies are done! I will be posting pages on each type of (pony) sphinx. Since each are based on real sphinx from around the world. The only detail that i feel should be mentioned is that after some point I did draw the line for the sake of keeping designs clear of confustion with other species in the Mlp Universe. In stead they will have sketches done of them but not two gendered finished drawings like these.

SPHINX TYPE!!
Ram Headed Sphinx other wise known as the Criosphinx- has the head of a ram and body of a lion. Can be seen at the Temple of Amun at Karnak. Its a pretty simple design. I descided to keep the heads more like ponies though and just add horns. My reasoning is simple I think ram horn horses are awesome. they make an awesome clash with clasical unicorns. They are also not limited to two horns like sheep and ram are also not limited to two horns.

Story time:

Long long long ago, the sphinx with kindness and lonliness in her heart called to the lands for aid and freedom from the chaotic forces that surounded them at all times. As if heard the land around them became lush and Sphinx lived well. But she was still lonely.

Then outsiders jealous of their gifts from this otherworldly sourse attacked and again the Sphinx of kindness called the lands for protection. Each sphinx found themseleves embued with power, staring into the eyes of their foe they convinced them to leave and work to make great homes for themselves again the sphinx lived well. But she was still lonely.

Finally the father of the sphinx of kindness died, the only sphinx to ally all sphinx kinds to work as one pride. Infighting began around them as sphinx fought sphinx for power. The sphinx of kindness called to the lands for one more favor, to give them a leader that would bring back the peace they seeked.
