Take note of the disclaimer XD it's me yeah me! so if u don't agree with this reason then don't flame me O.oSo yeah this is my reason for why Link doesn't talk XD if you have played TP then u'll know that when Ilia gives u that whistle it seems like its totally useless!!!!!!! and yeah this isn't the first zelda game in which u get something that would be useful at the beginning in the end -__- so in the end this is his reaction. I say "no more pushover" cuz Link is kinda too nice i mean he does everything he's asked even tho pple *coughmidnacough* treat him badly (this includes the stupid baby Malon who insults u upon entering his shop pfft!)
Hmm i seem to be on a roll of uploading stuff this weekend
(as u can see this drawing was actually sketched on febuary 1st and i waited till now to color cuz now im feeling better so i have to take this oportunity to draw a lot especially since im barely starting school again so that means mountains of work are just around the corner O_O)I always draw Midna as a shadow LOL sooooo lazy XDDDD
Ok ok im done with my rambling so read the comic (the last panel is a little messy but u'll figure it out soon enough LOL)

This is seriously what I thought when I got this. Because after this you go to the City in the Sky, then the Twilight Realm, and then the final boss. You don't need it at all!

Um... There is a HUGE portion of land all around Hyrule that contains not horse grass. So, it is useful in some areas... But that's just my opinion. Cute comic!

well I agree, this is a very useful item IF you get it like in the middle of the game because at the time you get it you've already managed to go all around hyrule and I dunno about you but those portions that don't have grass (at least in my case) when I tried using the whistle it just turned out that Epona couldn't just reach there >.> so I was better off just teleporting everywhere xD
and thanks tho xD
so in the end the item is useful for those who go around tryingn to finish every little detail of the game which I tried to do but I was still better off with teleporting xD

If you're more of a just do the storyline thing then the whistle is useless. If you like to do everything else it's pretty good though by the time I got it I got used to changing into a wolf and all(rolling, teleporting...) that really you kinda forget about it xD

xD Yeah, after my first file, I really don't use it all that much, because I'll just be playing the game again to go through the story. I don't go for all the heart pieces and poes and whatnot, I just want to see the next cutscene. 
My main file, however, is complete! FINALLYYYYYYYY~~

Agreed.... the horse whistle is generally pointless in terms of helpfulness. I guess it's a nice item to have handy just in case....
But I mean it renders the whistle grass worthless.

it wouldve been better if we got it before maybe like halfway through the game so that one could use the grass and then the whistle but getting it at the end of the game is pretty pointless since you can already teleport all around Hyrule :/

hehe i remembered when i first used it same reason and i was being lazy it was so stupid because I could see Epona in the screen but since I had the whistle I decided to call her over instead of walking over there lol.

Totally did that too with the grass, most of the time you couldn't even use the whistle thing. You got it, called over epona, went to the castle thing, and couldn't use it... so frustrating. Next time I play, I'm going to beat illia until she gives me the stupid thing. Either that or file a complaint to the creators of zelda.
