Take note of the disclaimer XD it's me yeah me! so if u don't agree with this reason then don't flame me O.oSo yeah this is my reason for why Link doesn't talk XD if you have played TP then u'll know that when Ilia gives u that whistle it seems like its totally useless!!!!!!! and yeah this isn't the first zelda game in which u get something that would be useful at the beginning in the end -__- so in the end this is his reaction. I say "no more pushover" cuz Link is kinda too nice i mean he does everything he's asked even tho pple *coughmidnacough* treat him badly (this includes the stupid baby Malon who insults u upon entering his shop pfft!)
Hmm i seem to be on a roll of uploading stuff this weekend
(as u can see this drawing was actually sketched on febuary 1st and i waited till now to color cuz now im feeling better so i have to take this oportunity to draw a lot especially since im barely starting school again so that means mountains of work are just around the corner O_O)I always draw Midna as a shadow LOL sooooo lazy XDDDD
Ok ok im done with my rambling so read the comic (the last panel is a little messy but u'll figure it out soon enough LOL)

A-freaking-men on this. Definitely the most useless item in the game--even more useless than the Slingshot and the Dominion Rod.

well actually those two items are key's to continuing the game cuz u actually have to use the dominion rod in the temple of time and also you have to use the slingshot at the beginning cuz u dont have the bow and arrow xD
but yeah i mean this stupid whistle completely useless!

Yeah, I know they're key items, but their almost useless. It's quite unfortunate the Dominion Rod is used so little because it had so much potential.

yeah keyword there being almost LOL i mean compared to the whistle at least you HAD to use them cuz that whistle's just there for show...
and aw man the dominion rod was really cool! it really is a pitty it only works for a little while... but i guess the dominion rod is useful if you go and play the cave of ordeals cuz there you basically have to use all your weapons at some point (yeah all the weapons which means the whistle's still useless XDDDDDDD)

I know what you mean. Being able to control statues is awesome and at least you need it to go through the Cave of Ordeals. Then again, you need pretty much every item and upgrade to get through the Cave of Ordeals.
Seriously, though--Now that I look at this piece of art, I wonder why the whistle was put there in the first place other than to have Ilia gave something to Link. I did a lot of warping in my first playthrough and didn't ride Epona all that much, so I found it to be completely worthless. To summarize my thoughts when I got the whistle: "Wow! Thanks a lot Ilia! Except that Midna's abilities to warp me and change me into a wolf are far more useful than your horseshoe whistle! Yay!"

Omg, I TOTALLY agree with you! When I read the "now you can call Epona without looking for grass" I was like "...and she gives me this only in the end of the game?! You stupid useless blonde!!!". At least that helps when you go after Poes and bugs after beating the game.

Lmfao...Yeah that stupid thing was just another reason for me to dislike Ilia. xx First she takes your horse without asking, TWICE, then you have to find her stupid butt, cause she couldnt stay with everyone else, and then you have to get her memory back x_x FOR THAT THING. ...By that time you can just howl as a wolf for epona to come to. @@;

Heh, I actually use Ilia's Charm a lot since I like to ride Epona around Hyrule, but yes, it's a very useless item. >.> Nice job!
