...Yeah...just...what can you say about this?

Suppose I should talk a little bit about this especially since I heard Doug Walker is going to do an editorial on this. While I do like the original "Tom and Jerry" shorts, I think they're a little overrated, not up to the heights of say, "Looney Tunes". On the subject of their direct-to-DVD/VHS films, I'm not a fan. Not even with the crossovers they have been doing, even as someone who thinks the original 1939 "The Wizard Of Oz" didn't hold up the best.

But with that said, I do legitimately like "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", it's a good book, and I even like BOTH film adaptations with Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp. But this is just a whole new level of WTF territory. This is just a crossover that doesn't sound good. From someone who writes crossovers for a living, you need to have a REAL good idea if you're going to put these two together. And from the looks of it, it just looks like the 1971 film with Tom and Jerry slapped on it. Not only that, but the animation looks bad...REALLY bad. It may look good at first, but once seeing it, any positives will be dashed.
