In another universe, Raziel was made as a robot for 'Dragon's Fly By Pizzaria'. When he was first created, he was shiny and new, and he was controlled by someone to serve pizza. After a few years he was given artificial intelligence and the tables were electronically marked into him so he had set paths to each table he was given pizza for.But it started to get abit strange when after a certain time around 9PM he wound wander into the bathroom and stare into the mirror for a good half hour, then wander to the door and stare at the handle. Sometimes he would even stare at guests until they felt uneasy and left. He was replaced with a shiny and new model since his artificial intelligence could not be replaced with the old manually controlled chip and he was left to rust in the back room.
In the dark he came to life, it had nothing to do with the time other then the fact that it went to nighttime. He only stared at the mirrors because his reflection was the only one that could understand him. He would stare at the door handle because he wanted to go outside and explore. And he only stared at gueststo try and make friends since he could only make soft growls and grunts which he knew would scare them even more s he stayed mute in that situation. Inside, he was only a child. But now he was locked up in a dark back room where he was forever awake, lonely, with tears rusting his once beautiful glossy metal.

Nyx: *jumps a little at the sudden shriek, but takes her phone.* H-Hey, it's ok... *dims the light on her phone's screen.* It's not going to hurt you, see? *holds it for him to see, the light it emitted was very dim now, almost out. There was just enough light to know it was there.* This is a phone... I use it to communicate. Well... With my parents anyway.

Raziel:*the dim light didn't make his joints freeze up as a full blast of light did. He seems to sniff the phone similar to a dog, his face showing in the light as he blinks his rusted eyelids noisily*

Nyx: *eyes sadden.* you poor thing... *looks him over and then smiles sympathetically.* I could help you, if you want... My dad taught me a lot about mechanics, he makes all sorts of machines and toys for a living... His passion is cars but I know enough to get you cleaned up... If you want?

Raziel:*looks at her with eyes full of emotion. He didn't have the eyes of a robot, physically yes, but the innocent in his eyes was that of a child. He looked surprised by her act of kindness. He'd never been shown anything but hate and fear before*Rrrrnnnuuu..?

Nyx: *smiles, nodding.* I can get you out of here... You'll never have to be alone. I can fix you up, and I know my father wouldn't mind... He might even help too. *smiles* My folks are very nice. *looks at him* So...If you want me to, I can help you... um... *thinks for a moment.* Oh I never asked... Do you have a name?

Raziel:*blinks then points to himself*Rrrr...rrruuu...Raaaaa....eeeelll...*ears fold back*

Nyx: Ra...Raziel...? Is that your name?

Raziel:*seems happy as he makes a soft cooing sound*

Nyx: *smiles* Ok, Raziel. *stands up, placing her phone in her pocket.* I'll help you get out of here. *thinks for a moment.* ...You're sensitive to light... *looks at him* I may have to come back for you tonight unless I can find something in here that would help you move... Maybe a bag or something to place over your head...
(Sort of like when you have to lead a horse somewhere, you cover their eyes and they have to trust you to guide them to safety.)

(Well he's not just sensitive to light, he can only operate in the dark. The light made him freeze up and become a statue ;~; Poor guy >3<)
Raziel:*makes a quiet whining soundΒ as his ears seem to droop*

Nyx: *looks at him.* I think it would be better if I came back for you tonight... even without the possibility of the light harming you I can't just walk through town in broad daylight without someone seeing you... *See's a door on the other end of the storage room, she walks over to it and cracks it open a very tiny bit.* Well... What do you know, this door goes outside. *looks at him* Ok Raziel, I'm going to come here tonight, and I'll get you out through this door. *closes the door, walking over to him* You'll know I'm here when I knock like this on the door. *lightly taps the table 5 times.*Β

Raziel:*watches her hand fixedly then looks at his own, knocking on the table in the same pattern cutely*

Nyx: *smiles* That's it. That's our code.Β

Raziel:*whirrs happily and nods as his tail swishes noisily against the ground, making squeaks and creaks from all the rust*

Nyx: *smiles, touching his nose lightly.* I've got to go out the door I used to come in here. They'll get suspicious if I stay here any longer. *walks to the door and whispers with a smile* I'll be back for you Raziel. *waves and quietly leaves the room.*

Raziel:Nnnneee...Rrrnnn...Neeeex..!*waves as he tries to say her name*

Nyx: *smiles once more before closing the door. She looks around the hallway and quitely walks out of the pizzeria, acting as if she'd just come out of the washroom.*

*the robot walking around looked shiny and new but after seeing Raziel, it seemed even more creepy and soulless*

Nyx: *got a bit of a shiver down her spine as she looked at it, and she quickly walked out of the door, deciding that after she rescued Raziel she'd never go to this pizzeria again. She took out her pepsi when she was half way down the block and drank it on her way home.*

Later that night
Raziel:*standing by the door, repeating the secret knock on it over and over*Nnnneeeex..?*puts his ear to the door as he makes a whimpering sound, repeating the knock again as if trying to make her appear*

Nyx: *peaks out at the Pizzeria through the bushes. She watches the last worker leave and silently sneaks over to the door, knocking as she'd taught him*

Raziel:*whirrs happily*Nnnneex!*tries to open the door*

Nyx: *hears the door unlock and opens it from her side, smiling at the happy robot.* Raziel, I'm here! *hugs him then looks around, putting a finger to her lips.* We've got to be quiet, ok? *takes his paw in her hand.* Let's get you out. *smiles kindly*

Raziel:*ducks under the doorway as he hesitantly walks out, instantly staring up at the moon as he makes a soft coo in amazement*Gruu ~<3

Nyx: *closes the door and leads him away from the Pizzeria.* This is the outside world. *smiles softly* You'll be seeing a lot more of it when I've fixed you up, I'm sure. ^^

Raziel:*his joints creak and complain, struggling to move his legs to keep up with her*

Nyx: *slows down for him, and despite the trouble his joints gave him she helped him get to the house within an hour. She presses a button on the garage door, opening it. She helps him inside and then closes the door, opening the curtains so he can see out the window.* Stay here a moment, ok Raziel? I'm going to go get my dad... He said he'd help me fix you up. ^^ *walks through a door attached to the house, looking for her father who was watching TV.* Dad! He's here! *smiles excitedly* I saved him!

Raziel:*looks at all the tools on the table then at all the boxes of junk. He coos curiously and looks through the junk. By the time Nyx and her father return, he had made a little house from the scraps and some super glue, putting the last piece on*

John: *looks at the robot as they enter the room* My god, he's marvelous!
Nyx: *chuckles a little, and walks over to Raziel.* Raziel, this is my father.Β
John: *walks over to him, looking him up and down.* extraordinary... *looks at Raziel* Call me dad if ya like Raziel, I'm considering you a part of this family. *smiles, and looks at Nyx.* You start cleaning off the rust, I'll fetch some of my special tools, he's going to look brand new when I'm finished. *walks out to his room.*Β
Nyx: *smiles and looks at Raziel, showing him a round tool that looked like a very hard sponge.* This is what's going to get the rust off of you. *smiles* Don't worry, for machines like you it should feel very nice, I'll show you.* turns it on, and the sponge like thing spins taking rust off of a piece of scrap metal.*

Raziel:*his eyelid lift, making him look wide eyed before they close and he slumps over with a soft purring sound*

Nyx: *smiles and starts cleaning the rust off of him.*
John: *walks back in, placing a box down on the table. It was a very fancy box that held a lot of very high tech equipment, he looks at Raziel.* Raziel, can you speak for me?

Raziel:*sits up and opens his eyes again*Rrrrnnnaa...?

John: *nods, seeing something in the throat area spark whenever he speaks.* Right, well that's another thing to fix while I'm here. *smiles* I'll give you a new voice box. *looks at Nyx* but you're going to have to teach him how to speak, a normal robot is one thing, they learn quickly... But Raziel is special.Β
Nyx: *nods* Of course I'll teach him. *smiles, looking at him when all the rust was off.*
John: We'll have to apply some new paint after I'm done replacing joints and wires.Β
Nyx: *looks up at Raziel* don't worry, dad's really good at what he does. He won't hurt you. ^^

Raziel:*his attention seemed to have wander off back to his creation that had already dried. He carefully picks it up and offers the little scrap metal house to Nyx as a gift*

Nyx: *looks at it and smiles, taking it.* Aw, thank you Raziel! It's beautiful. ^^ I'll go put it in my room so it doesn't get squished. *walks to the door.* I'll be right back! *runs to her room*
John: Right then. *smiles at him* Let's fix you up. *works throughout the night, replacing all of his old broken parts. Nyx helped him with some of the joints and other things. The last thing he fixes up is Raziels voice box, he places a brand new very high tech one into his throat area. All of the cables that were exposed were now very strong and unlikely to break any time soon.* Alrighty Raziel, all that's left is the paint. *smiles, petting the robots nose.* I'll leave that bit to Nyx and her mother.
Lucy: *walks in* So this is the robot Nyx was telling us about this afternoon... *smiles and walks down, putting brushes and paint on the table.* He's a beauty.
Nyx: *looks at Raziel.* This is my mum.
Lucy: You can call me that as well if you like, Raziel. *smiles kindly*
John: Why don't you both teach him to speak while you re-paint him? *Smiles* I'll go set up a place for him to rest. *looks at Raziel* Would you like your charging station to be close to Nyx?Β

Raziel:N-Neeex~!*hugs Nyx cutely and purrs*

Nyx: *laughs softly and looks at her dad* I think that's a yes dad.
John: Alright. *smiles and walks off*
Lucy: *looks at Raziel.* Well, at least we know the voice chip works. *smiles kindly.* You'll just have to learn to speak. *picks up a brush, handing it to Nyx.*Β
Nyx: *takes it and looks at Raziel. He looked a lot more loved then he had.* Me and mum are going to paint you now. So hold still, ok? *smiles*

Raziel:*looks at the brush with curious eyes and tries to grab it*

Nyx: *chuckles a little, and dips it into some paint. She paints his arms gently while her mum paints the other.* this is called painting.

Raziel: Prrr...Paa...prraa...ta...?*blinks and watches her mother paint his legs*

Nyx: Pain-ting. *smiles* It'll take a while to learn some words but I know you can do it.

Raziel: P..Paa..in...ting~ Ting~!*tail wags as they try to paint it*Ting! Ting!*seems to giggle*

Nyx: *laughs a little* Does that tickle?

Raziel:*holds his muzzle closed as he shuts his eyes tight, giggling as his tail swishes playfully*

Raziel:*looks back as he swishes it in the opposite direction to where she tries to paint, ears perking playfully*

Raziel:*growls softly and lets his tail stay still. He looks back at her mother who was ready to paint his face*

Lucy: *looks at him* This may feel a little odd. *smiles* Close your eyes, and don't open them till I tell you too, ok?
