This took like a whole week omfg I'm so proud of this thing***

Okay, so this is a scene in Last Light of Hope that is FAR from the point I am currently writing at. VERYYY Far. Stop reading now if you don't want spoilers!

**SPOILER AHEAD FOR LLoH**

"Come on everypony!" Luna shouted. "We're almost there!"

Fi continued to speed around the wolfponies, mocking them and thus making them chase her. it's working!

As they rounded the hill, a sudden CRACK was heard. The ice is beginning to shift under the weight of us all, she thought. She looked over to Sheik who jumped as the ice gave way under her. Fi looked all around, trying to find him. Where is Ghirahim?! I hope he's alright... He's vital in restoring the wolfponies to their former selves.

Only a minute later, she heard a loud CRACK and a splash with a loud cry of fear, male from the sound of it. She whipped her head around and scanned the field for the noise. Then, moments later, she saw it - an opening in the ice and a white hand go under the surface. No! Stupid idiot-

"Hold on! I'm coming!" She shouted. She quickly teleported to the opening and threw off her cloak as fast as she could and dived into the icy water, despite having nothing covering her arms.

She saw his figure, sinking deeper. He let out a last breath of air before closing his eyes, accepting the fact that he would drown. Fi wouldn't let that happen. She dove down as fast as she could and swam under him, hooking her arms under his shoulders. Once she had a firm grip on him, she swam upwards.

She broke the surface and took in a huge breath of air. Luna had already gotten there with a barrier around, keeping the wolfponies out. Prince Daniel and the Mane 6 were there too, as well as Sheik and Link.

Sheik helped to haul the two out of the water, "What were you thinking, jumping into the arctic sea like that?!"

"Don't worry about me, he's got too much water in his lungs! If we don't remove that water he'll drown!" Fi snapped.

Luna nodded and lit her horn. She pulled all of the water out of Ghirahim's lungs. A second later, he began to cough, indicating he was alive.

"You're alive!" Fi shouted as she jumped in to hug him.

Luna spoke, "Twilight, we must abandon the plan. We cannot let the Demon Lord and the Goddess Sword die."

"But we're so close, we can't!" Twilight argued.

"Twilight," Amaterasu barked. "They will freeze to death if we do not return to base and let them warm back up. We must abandon the plan or we will lose Ghirahim and his magic. Without his magic, we cannot cure the wolfponies."

Twilight sighed, "I'm sorry, you're right..."

"Everypony! Fall back! We must get back to the base as soon as possible or we risk losing our sword spirits!" Solar Flare shouted.

Everyone fell back to the base. They would try again another day.
