Rodern are known to hide in bushes, aided by their plantlike ears and tails, waiting to ambush any trainers who might pass by. For this reason, carrying food on the trails they inhabit is forbidden. Their fangs are oddly lightweight, and can be fired like a bow. Opponents hit with this attack feel woozy due to inbuilt sedatives.

Design notes: A combo of two ancient but still extant species, ferns and solenodons. The ears and tail are based specifically on fern buds' curled appearance.
