Shinra is the former love interest of No’Vellu Katharsiz. She was killed during an attack on one of the old villages well over a century before the start of the game. She appeared to be kind, gentle, and is what No’Vellu Katharsiz describes as “the one light I had in this world.” She appears in the game’s present day in ethereal visions that No’Vellu Katharsiz had any time he considers committing suicide to escape the pain. She can be seen as sort of a spiritual guide for the character who is constantly trying to tell him to move forward and forgive himself.
