Kinda early, but hey, spoopy month is literally tomorrow so... whatever.

So I'm not sure if I mentioned this in his introductory post, but Dracula wasn't always a vampire. Nor was he bitten by an "original vampire". Instead, he received his vampirism via The Blood Moon, a cursed side of the moon that grants immortality to it's victims... at the cost of near insatiable bloodlust. Dracula was one of these unfortunate souls. Despite the best attempts of his servants who offered their blood to sate him and even a priest who tried lock his vampire side away, he still falls under The Blood Moon's influence every so often. This is especially bad when an actual Blood Moon rises and he is virtually powerless to control himself. Woe to anyone who crosses him during these moments, as it's damn near impossible for him to distinguish friend from foe.

The only thing that can hopefully bring him back from the brink of insanity is his beloved niece, to whom he made a promise to stay true to himself. Sad to say, this rarely ever works and eventually, even she had to pay the price for trying to meddle in things man not ought to. Yes, she too fell victim to his vampirism and became a vampire after he bit her, robbing her of a normal life. This would inspire Dracula to embark on a journey to destroy The Blood Moon. But lord knows if he'll be successful in this endeavor...
