Okay, this is based on the human transmutation circle from FullMetal Alchemist, only changed a bit. Basically, I'm doing this as an accessory to my friend Suupaa Gohan 2 (check out her stuff!), who is doing a random parody fancomic based on FMA, called FullMoron Alchemist. Since neither her nor her friend, Karma, have the alchemic knowledge or the drawing skill to come up with a viable human transmutaton circle, (and lacking a HQ screenshot from the actual anime) they charged me with drawing this...if only so they could COMMIT THE ULTIMATE SIN!!! Reviving a dead human, of course ^_^

So, moving on, the actual circle is slightly modified from the one seen in the anime. I was dissatisfied with the symbols around the outside of the actual circle, since only three of the six seemed to represent three of the seven alchemic elements represented by planets, so I replaced the other three with three others I thought were more appropriate. The writings you can see (but probably not read... >_< ) all over the circle are choice phrases (handpicked by me) from George Ripley's, The Compound of Alchymy, regarding the Philosopher's Stone. I had heard that phrases from that are put on the actual circles in FMA, but without a HQ screenshot, all the writing appeared just as squiggly lines, so I had to find my own and decide how to put them on the circle. I'm rather pleased with the final results.

Okay, for the mechanics, this took me about 5 hours to complete, and I used graphite pencil, pen, and fine-point sharpie, as well as the paper (duh...) and a ruler and compass. Oh, and a bunch of tape to attach the pens to the compass... hehehe...

I might be doing a similar transmutation circle based on the one used in the series to seal the homunculi, since, in SG2's crazy comic I'll be playing one...and they might need it too.
