Description
Now I've gotten the hang of drawing Fresco and Picara, and I've established the basis of the species they belong to, I've decided to take Soots out of the backyard and put more time and effort into my art for the series. That, and tweak both the designs and the dynamics of the characters, so they're more in tune with how I initially conceived them. Above is a pixel art version of my original traditional sketch for Fresco and Picara when I first came up with the idea for a story about "a small, square guy and his big, round wife".

I thought introducing them portrayed this way would've been too much for the first time they'd ever be seen, so I played it safe and waited till I firmly established them and their relationship (and my pixel art skills were sharper) to draw them the way I actually wanted them to look like. I honestly consider it pretty cute, and I'll see where I can go from here, both with these two and Soots in general.
