I wonder why anyone isn't bothered by their age difference - I know I'm all twisted but what about you. xD
I did this pic because it's possible for men over 18 to date a 16 years olds but they technically need parents permission so that there won't be any restraining orders made by the girls parents etc. The idea was simply too tempting ..I just thought it was funny.

wanna hear somethin' even more weirder. I read somewhere on wiki, that in the novelization Jareth was Jeremy, the man who Sarah's mother ran away with. I dunno if its part of the movie, movie but kinda odd isn't it? He dated the mother now he wants the daughter.... what ever happened to Sarah's real mother
I know she left but no one knows if she died, is some rich actress or not
.

As far as I know. Jareth just looks like the guy Sarah's mother "run away" with... and if you watch the beginning of the movie carefully Sarah has in her room (among other things, like a musicbox with a doll in her ridiculous dress from the ballroom scene, an Esher painting replica, Ludo plush etc.) some newspaper cutouts about her mother and the guy she dates... it's David Bowie. :3

That movie has a ridiculous amount of background detail. Sarah's room is a full blown Chekhov's Armory. Sorry, I spend way too much time on TVTropes.

Yep, there's so many details that it seems like a mess, but when you know where to look there's lots of clues hidden in the mess ;D It kinda like that...it shows that it's not all just madness
Haha, don't worry, it looks interesting

TVTropes will ruin your life!
Yeah. In Labyrinth there is method in the madness.

Hehe, don't you think that's a little exaggerated?
My words exactly. That's why you have to watch all good movies twice (at least!) - to find all the Chekhov's Guns I guess it depends on how observant you are..but I doubt you can find them all straight away.

That movie had a ridiculous level of background detail that you could miss at first (or even second / third) watching.

I think because Jareth is immortal or centuries old he's robbing the cradle no matter how old Sarah is also he'd be more familiar with a time when women were married off at around 16.
This is hilarious

Over in the UK it's not so bad because the legal age for sex is 16... But I know for a fact that if I dated someone above 21 (I'm 17) then it would be a bit strange.
Stranger considering David Bowie is about my dad's age at the moment (And my friends Grandparent's age)

I think everywhere it's that age btw. The thing is that when you're under 18 - your parents are still your caretakers. For example if the case (16 old girl dating much older man) goes to court, they don't listen underaged opinion that much just the parents.
But you're right; that would be weird. xD

For marriage under 18 you need consent over here.. I'm not too sure about seeing someone older though. I think in the sexual sense until the age of 18 there can only be a maximum of a 3 year gap but I'm not entirely sure.
It's still all rather strange though :')
I do love this drawing though. Sorry, I forgot to mention that on my previous comment <3

I'm glad you do. It is weird. What else could love be? Besides: men develope slower than women in intelligence. ;D Just kidding.. xD sometimes it just seems so.

Regardless of the age of my daughter, I would have a problem if David Dowie wanted to date her XD

Yosh-chan In reply to Immortal-Len [2012-02-24 05:30:46 +0000 UTC]
..Honestly; I would accept it if I know the guy well enough because people the same age can be jerks too. So I would want to protect her too. And it so depends... I would still have a mild problem with it - but I would think about what makes her happy.
That's just me. Always believing in love. Maybe it's a bit naive. It would be too cruel to think that you'll never find the one.. that's it.
But David Bowie is like 65 so.. xD ..he wouldn't make her happy for long..krhm..yeh.. ^^'
