Hm, that's another thing I never knew. You're teaching me more and more about this show a little each time. I guess that's why they added the "Flutter" prefix to her name.
But yeah, I'd imagine long hair might get in the way while walking. Don't see why you'd want to walk, when you could easily fly and be more awesome in the process. People wish they could fly all the time; Fluttershy ought to be thankful she can. :b
