I noticed you marked this Advanced Critique Encouraged (at least in your Comment box.) I hope you don't mind that I provide my my first impressions when viewing this.

I feel the sunglasses take too much away from this shot. When creating a portrait, often times the eyes make a huge impact. In this case, the sunglasses hide the eyes. Sunglasses are fine if say shooting for an ad for an eyewear company but if strictly shooting a portrait, the eyes are important.

That being said, from the shadow beneath her chin, I can see that the sun would most likely be in her eyes and she would be squinting. You can take advantage of that and shoot from a higher angle letting the sun hit her face and sunglasses fully. The higher angle would minimize the shadow beneath her chin since her head would be tilted up more to look at you.

I like your choice of split frame (wood/water.) Perhaps just adding a bit more room above her head so that she is not to centered in the frame would help here. Also, if shooting from a higher angle, there wouldn't be as much focus on the front part of the wood and more focus on her.

It's a nice photo that with a few minor tweaks would be wonderful. Keep shooting!
