My oldest daughter has been wanting to build a tank, or at least something tank-adjacent. I have a particular affinity for the mighty and underappreciated M18 Hellcat tank destroyer, so here we are. The fighting compartment was primed in black, then received a top-down spray of white to give a shadow effect on the final drive and whatnot. I then showed my daughter how to drybrush and let her go to town on the deck of the fighting compartment. And then I gave it an oil wash. So now it looks reasonably scuffed, dirty, and oily, plus my little girl is getting her proverbial hands dirty with it.
