Finally Avalon has a ref! (I haven't forgotten about Kas and High Hopes, i just really like this dood)

but i'll go into more detail here.

his father was a pure nightwing who fled to the skywing kingdom for fear of Darkstalker. there, he met a beautiful skywing noble who got permission from the queen to marry him (the skywings were fascinated by him and wanted him to stay in their kingdom). their dragonet, Avalon, was envied and hated by the others partly for being a hybrid and partly for having purple and blue scales.

Avalon befriended an animus about his age, the two of them grew up together and were inseparable. Avalon's mother died and his father vanished, so he inherrited the family fortune. the skywings discovered the animus and sentenced them both to death (the animus for being animus and Avalon for not exposing him). he blessed Avalon so that no one could kill him, thinking that maybe at least Avalon could escape. Avalon tried, but failed, to save his friend. he fled to his mother's mansion on the northern cost.

he has lived alone in the isolated mansion for generations, only leaving once every few years to see if the world has ended yet. he is occasionally discovered by travelers and explorers but they're either too afraid or too busy to bother him. ghost stories about "the dark skywing" have turned into cautionary tales to warn dragonets not to wander too far from their homes. anyone who remembers him is long dead, and most of the dragons who find him keep it secret because they would sound insane if they told anyone, so no one really knows that he exists.

he spends his time moping around the rotting mansion or staring off into nothingness for hours at a time. he still hasn't recovered from his friend's death, and everyone who knows about him thinks he's depressed (they're probably right). he doesn't eat or sleep or anything, he just kinda sits around and occasionally talks to himself (he's been like this for a very long time, it's completely normal) he will try to help those in need but other than that he has no interest in the rest of the world.
