ok so the green one (LeafWing with a little bit of RainWing ancestry) is Maple. she's a vigilante and the queen of the LeafWings and her scales change depending on the season and her current mood (she's also very big)
the tan guy doesn't have a name yet but he's a HiveWing and a Soft Boy™ and also technically the king of the LeafWings because Maple married him

also: headcanon that HiveWings are super small compared to the other dragons but they can be extremely dangerous when there's a bunch of them, kinda like wasps

so they live in a mega-city in the future from when the books take place. all three Pantalan tribes live in the city, but they have different sections and it's segregated by tribe. the HiveWings are feared and hated for what their tribe did in the past, even though they're very polite and they just want to live in peace
Maple was pissed off about the racism but making laws didn't really help, so she snuck out at night to beat up Silk and LeafWings who attacked/killed HiveWings for no reason. then she ran into a flamesilk. Maple managed to fight her off and save the HiveWing, but her arms got all burned. now everyone knew that she was the vigilante, but there wasn't really anything anyone could do because she was the queen. she also married the HiveWing because he was much more polite than all the LeafWing suitors, and, again, no one could stop her because she was the queen.
