While drawing this, I noticed that Cloud is never drawn from this angle. He's always drawn facing left (his right)... and even in CG, he's always facing left. So, it was kind of a challenge to figure out how to draw his spiky hair. Also, if the feet look funny to you, then I'm not surprised. I recently discovered that I am freaking awful at drawing feet and what direction they're supposed to be pointing in, etc. (I even had my sister pose for me... just to get the feet somewhat right.)

The real reason he's missing his sword is because...

This was originally supposed to be for a Dissidia 012 art contest run by Square Enix, BUT...! The contest apparently ended at 11:59 AM (as opposed to the usual 11:59 PM for art contests) yesterday, and I was 12 hours too late. Boo.

It was all because I had originally started off drawing Squall, but about halfway into the sketch, I found that there were too many details in his accessories and the fur on his coat -- time-consuming stuff. So, I then decided to draw Cloud. Yep.

Oh, I never got around to telling you about why his sword is missing. It's because on top of being terrible at drawing feet, I'm also terrible at perspective so it was taking me too long to figure out how the blade should look while he's posing like this.

And sorry for the watermarks. I just don't like art thieves.

I will finish this piece for real someday (by including the sword and a background). LOL~
