Why is Ga-in in Mizuyama, Japan? full ver.
TLDR ; Ga-in and his mother are being targetted by extremists of his family line because his mother has the breath of poison, and they believed that because Ga-in was her son, he would inherit the breath of poison as well. Thus, they escaped to Japan.

How did he find out about his magic? full ver.
TLDR ; During Ga-in's travels to Mizuyama, he accidentally let out the breath towards an employee at a different village. (At this time he didn't know that he had magic and was surprised to see dark smoke come out of his mouth.) Needless to say, the employee was affected and Ga-in ran away because he didn't know what was happening.

Once he reached Mizuyama, he tests it out on himself and finds out the effects of his breath the hard way.

Why did he join the brothel? full ver.
TLDR ; Ga-in needed money to take care of his mom and himself. He went job hunting and then found the brothel and convinced the employers that he was right for the job by demonstrating his magic (Aphrodisiac Breath).
