Sih, algunos dicen que esta muerto, porque el representa a la nación Prusia y Prusia dejó de exsistir en el 1947, vamos que se borro del mapa. Pero yo creo que, despues del 1947, después de ser la nación de Prusia, paso a ser Alemania este y Ludwig pasó a ser Alemania oeste, porque estaban separados por el muro de Berlín,por lo me nos hasta el año 90 Gilbert debió estar vivo, pero lo que no se si después del muro Berlín el murió, la gente dice que el vive en casa de su hermano. Lo que no se que es lo que el representa ahora, si sigue representando Alemania Este, aunque ahora Alemania este unida.
