The amount of loathing I have for these creatures, as a guy having lived through 23 Australian summers topping 40 degrees Celsius, is of legendary proportions. I don’t even know how many of the bastards I’ve caught and put out of their misery, let alone the ones that got away. Could only imagine how bad it gets out in the country…
Still, it’s interesting to see a character like a fly close up, feeling around with its legs and sucking up micro morsels like a vacuum. One could only imagine all those things they see with their compound eyes and enhanced senses. And you can’t argue with the detail there. The eyes look almost reflective and the wings have a good sense of perspective to them. The other minor details such as the shadow and feelers on its legs also add nicely to the whole thing.
For what it’s worth, some good work is present here. Could certainly look forward to seeing more, at any rate.
