Yes I've already bought, played and beaten Pokemon Mystery Dungeon; Gates to Infinity! I even evolved my members, took me a while and had to get a DLC dungeon (YOU GET PMD red/blue and PMD time/darkness/sky MUSIC WITH THEM OMFGEKGJ)If you couldn't figure out on your own; (what with the similarities and all~) My team was Nova the Pikachu/Raichu and Ryo the Snivy/Servine/Serperior. Often on missions I bring Fuu/Samurott, Mei Zhen/Mienshao or Inari/Zoroark with me. <:
I gotta admit, some things really f*cking pissed me off with this game.
First and formost; lack of genders. Why can't we be female and have female partners what is this bullshit. Upon searching it up though I discovered you can't change that. So I decided to just ignore it. So through the game Nova was a male Pikachu (I just ignored it) and Ryo was referred to as a he (i just pretended it said she). Idk I guess it's not a big deal though, I mean the Pokemon's genders do not appear on their status pages and the only enemies that even use attract on you are Swoobats and maybe Woobats, and you can't even see their genders anyway so really I think they were just intending on like.. 'no genders'. Then why did the damn translators call everything 'he's and JUST Virizion, Espeon and Aria Meloetta 'she's'? Kinda bullshit and sexist if you ask me. (Yeah that's right, Aria Meloetta is referred to as female and Pirouette is referred to as male even though theyre THE SAME POKEMON AND BOTH LOOK FEMALE IDFK.)
There's that, then the fact that there's so little Pokemon. I mean, all 5th gen Pokemon plus maybe 20 pre-5th gen Pokemon. I don't mind it all that much though.
-and then; there's nothing to do after you beat it. I mean like in Red/Blue Rescue team and in Exploreres of Time/Sky/Darkness there was after-game story stuff and many dungeons to explore. there's not a lot after the main story in this. But that's okay I guess. I spent the after-game time evolving my Pokemon and trying to get others I wanted. (The Leafeons are still avoiding me though bawww)
Idk, I really liked the game regardless of the above points. The story was great and like all PMDs is a tear-jerker.

i just assume it made me a girl...and started making a Virizion/Tepig(4 once not a HeroxPartner couple...) yuri fic =w= there's no after story story?(at great glacier part right now) =o= awww...
The only thing that actually pissed me off was that there was no quiz at the beginning. That's my favorite part(since they're usually spot on)...made me almost rage quit =3= but i tried 2 overlook it....
I agree it's a great game(the Pokemon are so adorable~) just quite a few flaws....

I've heard some stuff about this game and one is that you can no longer pick through a long list of pokemon to be no you can only be the unova starters and Pikachu

I actually have borrowed the game from my friend! He bought it a day early at PAX so I have been playing it since then.
There are a few things that annoyed me about the game, such as the removal of the hunger system which I was quite fond of since it gave the game some challenge to at least finish dungeons with sort of rush if you run low on food and haven't stocked up. Without that it just feels like I can sit next to the stairs and grind until I run out of berries or something, and even then if no enemies are around I could just stand idle for all my health so that pretty much ruins the challenge.
The other things are the ability to not do multiple requests at once anymore, the money cap at 9,999, and like you said about the gender neutrality and not being able to pick them yourself. I was looking forward to my team being a Male Oshawott and Female Snivy but...eh.
Oh and did I just mention what my team is? Haha. I haven't actually beaten it yet but I'm close to since I think I'll be going into the last part of the game soon (since it blatantly shows you how many bosses there are in the game which is another turnoff) and it does feel a bit short overall. My expectations were good for this game but a lot of things weren't just up to par. Either way it was still a nice game and I'm more than likely going to keep playing until I recruit who I want.
My usual team is Oshawott, Snivy, Scoliopede, and a filler spot. My scoliopede is really overkill! xD Didn't really name them though so yea.

dude yeah. I dont miss the hunger thing at all tbh but I do miss being able to take multiple missions at once.
Lol I'm pretty sure the other PMDs gave you a rough idea of how many bosses there was anyway. (It was easy to tell if you beat one and jjust measured out the icons across the screen lmao)

I really want Leafeon though guh >:U My goal in PMD is usually to get all the Eeveelus and all the starters but Im having problems getting Leafeon and even finding a Tepig.
-oh nother thing I dislike is; it appears you cant recruit legendaries. Which sucks beccause that was a lot of fun in Red/Blue/Time/Sky/Darkness. D:

ohhh yea? I was mostly trying to go for a Zoroa and a Deino since I find both of them absolutely adorable haha. Not a single eeveelution has tried to join my team though, other than the obvious two. I've seen the leafeon, vaporeon, jolteon, and flareon. I'll be surprised when they join me because I've killed dozens of them.
My companion team consists of Palpitoad, Whimsicott, and two random spots I fill in. I only just got back from the 2nd long journey you have in the game (like 10 freaking dungeons in a row wtf) so I gotta see if anything can evolve now.

What I like about the PMD series is that the story. It is more interesting, quite unexpected, and a little dark and dramatic. They've always been my fav pokemon series ever since the first one.

I had to buy the DLC Dungeon; Skill Treasury.
According to Serebii you can also get it via prizes, whatever that means.
So I was checking Prize Palace(the raffle/scratch ticket place in paradise) and playing the Starmie treasure game a lot and checking the prizes at Beartic Slide a lot. A couple times I saw Evolution items as prizes at Beartic slide, so If you dont want to buy the DLC dungeon, I think it would be safe to say Beartic Slide is your best bet.

I've played mine too..and wow what a coincidence my team is this too...I'm a Snivy and my partner is a Pikachu but do you know how to evolve them?
I'm about to finish the game too..but I think I really should evolve my team..before I go there..I think it's going to be a challenge

Yeah Im pikachu/raichu with snivy/serperior as my partner. XD
-and you can only evolve them after you beat the main story; it might seem difficult but you can do it ^^ -As long as you hold onto your items you can. Oran berries, reviver seeds, I also find that foe-hold orbs and petrify orbs come in handy for some bosses. but they wont work against the last 3 'boss fights'.

Yeah I can't tell you how much oran berries and reviver seeds I keep in hand..also I use those petrify orbs when I'm in that craziness with a room full of enemies XD

Yeah. Raichu is actually a pain to get, like one of the DLC Dungeons has lots of evolution items in it but if you dont get it the Beartic Slide game/attraction in Paradise appears to evolution items as prizes sometimes so it might be good to look into that if you want a Thunderstone. ovo

Yeah, haven't played it but have seen some walkthroughs; the gender pronoun thing annoys the heck out of me. All the other games had the right ones, if I remember correctly, excluding some legendaries, so I don't get why they removed that or did something like this.
