Oh shipping is a term all over the internet, not DA-exclusive.
it's like.. umm... best way I could describe it is like couples in a ..show or something. like Rainbow Dash X Fluttershy is a ship. Usually shippings have names, like some (from Pokemon) are titled like AdvanceShipping RivalShipping, crap like that and they talk about a specific pairing.
Im not too keen on shippings but thats the best I can describe em to you. lol I just refer to them by name like RDXFluttershy
Though I like for ponies the shipping names are along the lines of PinkieDash, FlutterDash, etc etc
