In the 'Aberia' arc of 'The Worldmenders' Saga', the group ends up in a city of riches, where time is the currency people trade... and where children are treated as living banks.During those events, Merka makes a critical mistake when dealing with some people who tried to scam her. A phrase used as payment is 'My time is yours to keep', meaning that the person is paying any amount of their lifespan for whatever they purchase - from common goods to luxuries. However, this also leads to those with far less time to age according to whatever time they have left.
Merka is an unusual case. Given that she was split from Resham, her amount of time is unable to be calculated. When she accidentally steals a mugger's time by misremembering the sentence, she takes in all of the person's time... and due to her age being uncertain, ends up regressing to a child.
The issue: What happens when someone who never had a childhood regresses to that age?
