While it took me five tries and a lot of credits to get a picture of the male Rexes, the female one actually came out in one shot.I wanted the Rex tribe to mercenaries, jumping at the chance to prove themselves due to being seen as lesser because of their rabbit traits... and also as a reversal of "cancel culture" and wokism, as a columnist in the local paper tends to call wokes "little bunnies" since they tend to scamper or run and hide at the slightest aggression, only showing strength when surrounded by their own.
It also reminded me of the Redwall series, where the Rabbitfolk like Tibbar and Basil were depicted as braggarts, but backed their loud mouths with incredible skills in combat, stealth, disguise and tracking.
The name 'Rex' is based on 'Rex rabbits' which are larger than average rabbits.
