Description    So I finally put the Prismacolor pencils to this piece today.  The texture of the Bristol board doesn't really look that appealing, but it's better than earlier efforts.  I thought about adding the Derwent watercolor pencils, but I would do that on Bristol board.  (Option B would've been to pull out a set of Prismacolor or Pantone TRIA markers and try to color it that way, but the ink would likely smudge if it got wet, so I'll look into some way to seal it off so that the moisture from the markers doesn't do that.)

At any rate, I tried getting the setting of Jenny's story in the background: a domed city built in a postwar future where the United States of America has been replaced by a new republic amidst a crazy quilt of city-states, petty despotisms, and mostly abandoned wasteland populated by outlaws, terrorists, and would-be tyrants.

Jennifer Vogt, Team Helix, and New Columbia City are mine
