This sparked after reading the script of the unfinished episode called "Mopiness of doom". In there, Dib decided to let go of his interest in the paranormal to pursue REAL SCIENCE, to please daddy Membrane. And Zim, having no more enemy, just let himself rot in front or the teevee, in his white tank top rat covered glory. Dib, after admitting to himself that he was bored out of his mind, went back to Zim to pick a fight. And here's the goodness! Both of them were just SO HAPPY to have the other back, it made me giggle and squeal for hours. That's almost canon ZADR on a silver platter, with music and dancers and huge green neon arrows pointing to it.
My life is now complete.
