Description
Here is an explosion tutorial as Leth requested, although I don't think I'm so good at explosions that I can teach how to draw them... But I can teach some of the principles behind them! But the best thing to do is really to watch video of explosions. (Some links are supplied in the Flash)
Edit: I just learned that "flame" explosions are officially called BLEVEs (pronounced "blev-ee"), or Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosions. You can look up this term on youtube to see a bunch of them!
Additionally, a deviant named ~ProfessorDoom has commented about the collapsing of the mystery of gamma ray bursters (pun intended):
"The core of the hypernova collapses directly into a black hole and two extremely energetic jets of plasma are emitted from its rotational poles at nearly the speed of light. These jets emit intense gamma rays, and are a candidate explanation for gamma ray bursts. In recent years a great deal of observational data on gamma ray bursts significantly increased our understanding of these events, and made clear that the collapse model produces explosions that differ only in detail from more or less ordinary supernovae. Nevertheless, they continue to sometimes be referred to in the literature as hypernovae. The word hypernova itself was coined by S.E. Woosley. [link] " Check the link for more information!

WOW. This must have taken a while! AMAZING and VERY informational.
Helped me A LOT ^^
See, I used to think that explosions happened... cuz someone through an already "set" bomb, but NOW I KNOW THE TRUTH!
Wow, where have I been living (here ----> xD)
Thanks for the tutorial! ^^

interesting......
can I feature this tutorial in my deviation?
I want to draw a character from Naruto (manga/anime), named Deidara.... a guy who use bomb and explosion as his weapon... try to teach about explosions?

Yeah, of course! It's perfect for Deidara Have you seen the Narultimate Accel 2 ougi movies? They are also good for studying explosions!

Thanks for the info; I was wondering how hypernovae differed from supernovae. I've added this supplementary description to the description of the deviation, with a credit to your name.

Very educational (And explosion-y), but it would have been simpler to put in a step-by-step explosion drawing after explaining the science behind it.
