It's also my first attempt at anything major in photoshop... After looking at what ~alyn can create, I decided to give it a shot.. I read some tutorials and added a few personal touches and I'm proud of it actually.I believe the planet kinda looks retarded, but oh well, I don't know how else to make them

I wouldn't say the planet is retarded, but it looks fake from a mile off. But you know that practice makes perfect.
