Description
The 44H Core model was originally part of a decommissioned project involving shelved sea carrier engines. The central drive housing units for grounded carriers were scavenged and brought to research labs for dismantling and testing. A team of researchers were able to isolate the main propulsion system and retrofit it into a mecha shell. The end result was the the prototype model 01, the Wave Raider series. These streamlined models ended up performing well in oceanic campaigns. Their ability to retract both the head units and limbs while traveling through water allowed them to reach targets before most other water detachments. As a result, many sea carriers installed clusters of 44H01 units in their hulls for use in battle.
