Description
Quincy McIver lost his arms and legs when he was sucked into a ship's propeller while attempting to escape the police after a break-in went bad. He was rebuilt by the Roxxon Oil company who gave him bladed arms and a powerful bionic snake-like tail. Unhappy with now being a freak, Quincy was promised a pair of humanoid legs as long as he served well and saved up enough money. It was the promise of more money that led to Bushmaster becoming a founding member of the Serpent Society, where he served loyally. When Viper took control of the group Bushmaster was one of the few original members who remained loyal to their former leader Sidewinder, though he was poisoned and imprisoned by Viper's forces before being rescued by an alliance between Sidewinder and Captain America. He remained with the group when it was led by Cobra before briefly operating as a solo mercenary.
