Description
Possessing the mutant power to drain the life, powers and memory of anyone who contacts her bare skin, Rogue was adopted and raised by the mutant terrorist Mystique and her partner Destiny. Originally joining Mystique's Brotherhood of Mutants, Rogue used her power-stealing abilities to attack Ms Marvel, an enemy of her foster mothers. The attack would leave Ms Marvel in a coma, and grant Rogue seemingly permanent superstrength and flight. Wracked by guilt over the incident, Rogue woud leave the Brotherhood and her foster parents behind, eventually ending up as a member of the mutant X-Men. Learning to better control her powers as part of the team, Rogue eventually came to terms with her past misdeeds and matured into a reliable team leader.
