i feel the sparks
erupt from my heart;
it's shriveled and black
evidence of all i lack,
its just another wave of hate
just another undulation of pain
but its slowly building up inside
increasing size with every lie
until it threatens to engulf and consume;
why, no one else but me can see the everpresent doom.
the ravens cry, "Nevermore!"
the angels shout, "lets settle the score"
and i am caught between.
