Normally Asgore's reassurances would be comforting, but under these circumstances it's a little ominous. Not that he knows that, haha.
He was going to go get a bandage for his finger but the brothers distracted him. Papyrus has started taking Sans's ego boosts to heart! Although the thought that their parents abandoned them is starting to take root.

Humans are made of matter and cells while monsters are made of magic. Skeletons are made of magic so I think the way they give birth is much different from the way normal living things give birth, perhaps it has something to do with their souls.

It's so spot-on that Sans does remember something, even vaguely. After all, he's the only one who actually remembers you the most when you reset after finishing the game
