A few people were wondering where Sans picked up a lot of his interjections in the one about the plate aftermath . The answer is they picked them up from Gaster, as kids do, haha. After all, Gaster said "for god's sake" before when Papyrus lost his arm , so presumably that wasn't the only time he's said things like that around them. But I can also see him whipping up vocab lists for them during that childhood period when he got sick of them asking questions about words.Index

maybe.. then again you can replace 'god' with almost anything in any phrase, like "in the name of everything that's good", but the bros probably wouldn't even think that far yet so yeah, in case of "in the name of god" he'd probably think of a person

Sans, baby bones, that is a question that is up to interpretation and even then, still either confuses, angers, and/or has some degree of acceptation Β in various groups of people.Β
But I have to say, Gaster's way of showing these two what his stuff means, is almost brilliant, if not that there are still some pretty big words these guys may not know. What I'm mostly surprised at is that he listed everything on ONE piece of paper. Ya mind as well give them a dictionary in the process.

No of course not. I believe in God and I don't judge you for not feeling that way. Because an important commandment from my God is to love everyone. Even those who think I'm stupid or naive for believing in him. Luke 6:27 says
"But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you"
Why would a made up God used to control people want you to love even the people who hate you?

I actually believe in God myself... it's just that's kinda what my response to Sans would be. Β In a fictional world like Undertale where Magic and Monsters exist I am rather skeptical on the idea of God existing.
At the same time, it's rather well accepted by many theologians that religion as a whole was created by man to control other people. Β Doesn't mean God was, just religions and the rules of religions (which explains why there can be multiple religions following the same God who all have different rules).

The Pharisees are an example of that who used the "don't work on the sabbath" commandment to try and trap Jesus for healing a man who couldn't walk for 38 freaking years!!

I mostly look at things like the fact that there are multiple types of Jews, multiple types of Christians, and multiple types of Muslims, and all claim to follow the same God, and then all three groups claim to follow the same God, but all of them have different rules and each specific group has a tendency to claim that only they will go to heaven and all others go to hell. Β Usually the specific rules given by God say no such thing, but because people want to use those rules to their own advantage they 'interpret' them however they wish.

Well most religions stem from some interpretation of the bible. Like Jews don't believe that Jesus was actually the messiah while most Muslims believe in Allah from the Koran. But to me the most important command for any religious person to follow is to love everyone, like I said before
