realisation: Gaster wanted to at least try to make Pap happy, so they sawed off the bits of his ribs (most of it around the bottom), but it didn't work, kinda like how there is probability for having a baby or not. Thats why Pap's ribs look kinda weird (to me, at least)
Thats why he's a cook, he wanted to cook for his children.
Thats why he has to much childish stuff in the first place.
Thats why he uses it, so he doesn't have to say that the child he wanted died.
Also, Sans reads him stories to bed because Pap wanted to feel what it was like, and Sans would do anything for his brother.
