I was browsing mods for Binding of Isaac and saw one for Tainted Jacob that made Esau friendly they said because they “really like Dark Esau but don’t want him as an enemy”, and one of the comments suggested it’d be a scenario where Esau forgives you for what you did wrong and you’re both traveling through the basement together, which I thought was really cute, haha.
