Probably the best mercyplates outcome would be Asgore and Gaster as two fathers. (NOT THAT THEY'RE ROMANTICALLY OR ANYTHING-) This way the favoritism thing with Gaster only wouldn't happen, Asgore's caring could balance out Gaster's cruelty.
