well, if we take this comic literally, the only ones who see combat as turn based are the humans. everyone respects that because the humans are way stronger than them. so, all that's happening is that sans isn't respecting your wish for turns and is attacking whenever he feels like it.

gaster was scattered, ripped from time. they're remembering events that technically never happened. how they do that is quite simple.
undertale is a game on a disk. you can't erase the data from the disk, only scatter or hide it. so, gaster being removed has made the data harder to read, but not impossible. and if anyone can figure it out, it's sans. maybe not yet, but eventually.

ehhh, depends on your definition of cheating. in theory, chara could've intervened at any point and just didn't, so they are following the rules, just in a different way. it's also possible that sans breaking the rules first gives you free reign to break them as well.

I think I'm a bit confused with this one
In the flashback it looks like Gaster is going to teach Sans how to dodge, but then in the present time its Papyrus who is dogging, and Sans is going to lean... so I guess I'm a bit mixed up?

No papyrus is attacking, Asgore is dodging. Papyrus was confused as to why none of his attacks were connecting and Sans told him that Asgore was dodging. Sans knew about dodging because Gaster taught him.

and, well, i shouldn't tell you how to play, but i will tell you that this stuff is mostly spoiling the "genocide run" of undertale, the "pacifist" and "neutral" options have mostly been untouched. and yes, those names are literal.
