I've only heard this story from comments, so I'm not sure on the validity.

Oh? Well then I would recommend checking out her tumblr. She mentions a bit of it in the tags of the Dustjar posts there (called Misery), and when someone asked her if she was dying, she said that she wasn't the one dying. From that post , the mentions of projecting her problems onto Papyrus in comics where a loved one dies, the tags on misery posts, and this particular post, it was a reasonable conclusion to come to.

Validity assured. I wasn't trying to assume people were wrong about this, but I don't like believing things from strangers on the internet either. Rumors spring up out of nowhere all the time and I was worried this might be one of them. I usually stay to deviantart so I wouldn't see her tumblr tags.

I totally understand, don't worry! If I were in your shoes, I would want to validate something before I believed in it. Rumors can be so cruel. I started visiting her tumblr page because the posts there go up exactly at a set time, usually hours earlier than it shows up here.

From the tags on her pieces in tumblr. Someone also asked her if she was dying, to which she replied that she was not the one dying. From that, the mentions of projecting her own problems onto characters, and this piece about grieving the recent loss of a loved one, it was a fairly reasonable conclusion to come to.

I feel the same way when I have to move, leaving everything behind. You feel so much grief inside that you can't process it, it just numbness. Then when the numbness fades away, you crumble, bursting into all the mourning and the tears you thought you'd have when the initial blow hit, but no. The worst part, is when you realize they aren't coming back.
