This is a design study for the Lauril. A sample representative of the design possibilities for this concept.

Quick Pitch: Hippie

The Lauril are the people created by Lightning and Wind. They hail from a field covered in flowers

Th Lauril ranges between 5ft to 7ft tall, they have 3 digit hands and 2 toed feet. Their skin hues on pale greens. The sclera of their eyes is light yellow, and their irises color on pinks. Their hair is deep green, and tend to be messy and curly.

They have among the shortest lifespans, rarely anyone living beyond 50 years. they also age the fastest, with a 30 year old appearing like a 60 year old.

When they are born, they are effectively abandoned on a field of flowers. Their parents leave, most likely to never see their child again. The child's grandparents, along with other elders, of other tribes, stay on the field of flowers and wait. The field has different colored flowers, representing the tribes. Depending on which flower the child picks, and elder from the representative tribe grabs the child and takes care of them. They grow in an carefree environment. The elder who took them in also had taken in others previously. they grow as a family. With the others as their siblings and the elder becoming their parents. As they age and reach adulthood, they behave more self centered, rebellious to their parents. It is their parents, and other elders that keep the youth in check, otherwise they would just party all the time rather than work. Once they are old enough, and elder, they realize the wellbeing their parents, now passed on, provided. in turn they realize the new generation will not readily listen to them, as they didn't listen to their elders when they were young. All they can do is maintain their wellbeing, as their elders did before. A generational trap.

They apparently have a democratic absolute autocracy. In which any individual is elected as regent by popular vote, usually at parties. The elected individual has absolute rule until some else is elected. However, the true power lies with the council of elders. They make the true decisions. It is the regent's parents who influence them to carry out the council's decisions.
