Lot's of students ask him why he has a scarf on, but he just stares at them blankly, no one knows why

Personal Background

Likes:
Water, bitter food, blowing out candles at night, watching the tiny puppet shows his mentor did, nice elder creatures, helping someone in his class make or set up a trap, loves instant cameras, weird jokes made in humanities class, his stuffed sheep Charlie.

Dislikes:
Mice, extremely boring classes, hates cleaning up, when people fart, perfectionists, animal-human hybrids that act weird in is his opinion, being alone for long periods of time.

Personality:
Being the average chaotic 12 year he is, most of his classmates besides his buddies underestimate him and label him as a happy pasta. He often ignores that label and acts like the freeloader he is. Mason loves to float carelessly in the air {Once again in ghost form}, greeting senior poltergeists and fellow radiant boys alike. He has a habit of suddenly disappearing out of sight, which has earned his new nickname Phantom Mason. He tries to fit in by staying in human form most of the time though.

Short History:
A few hours after he starved to death, Mason woke up in the woods all alone, confused as to why he was in there in the first place, he still had Charlie with him and since his death was like falling asleep, he had no idea he was dead. He roamed around in the woods for hours before finding no end to the seemingly looping trail. Loosing hope, Mason started sobbing loudly. A free roaming slender proxy was nearby at the time, curious, she followed the sound of the sobbing.

There, the proxy found Mason crying on the ground, hugging his stuffed animal. Tapping his shoulder, the woman tilted her head at him, asking him what happened. When he didn't answer, the masked woman grabbed his hand and dragged him to an old looking cottage. She took him inside and tried her best to make him comfortable.

Eventually, they warmed up to each other and introduced themselves, Mason McArthur, and the Marionette., who later became his mentor about the outside world.

Mason told her stories of what he remembered, while she told him things about the Slenderman, whom she referred to as the operator.

On one quiet day, when the two were quietly eating a few stolen cans of pasta, the entrance of the cottage violently slammed open, revealing a slender smiling tall man along with a another more, intimidating figure similar to the smiling one were present at the small doorway.

They both assessed Mason and held a discussion with the young woman, they asked her if she would like to join the PH staff and enroll her underling a long with her. However, she declined being a staff member due to social reasons but instead allowed Mason to join for his own good.

Since they were located not too far away, Mason would have no trouble heading home.
The morning on Mason's first day at PH, he woke up with a blue scarf wrapped around his neck.

He is capable of turning human but only for a certain amount of time {School hours}

Skills and strengths:
Mason is incredibly skilled at setting up and making traps, studying body language, convincing one's decision, telling hilarious jokes and making up lies in any situation, dire or not.

Weaknesses:
Since he is just a low level type of a spirit, he cannot interact with most things seniors could do. Such as possessing children, shoving people, controlling multiple objects, etc.
He throws a fit if Charlie is missing
Overly dramatic
Lies if he hides something important or regardless
Slacker
Terrified of mice, he can't tell the difference on what a mouse or a rat is, still cries and runs away regardless
