*FULL VIEW PU-LEEEEEASE*Samus climbs through Brinstar overgrown with vegetation area and finds the Spore Spawn Monster, throwing massive amounts of spores at Samus while she prepares to counterattack. This is one of the MANY great moments in Super Metroid! and this Brinstar location is one of planet Zebes' best places (and music too). This is one of the 10 best videogames ever IMHO, so I decided to do this humble homage to it.
Pencil Sketch + Photoshop CS (9 hours or so).

Was anyone else creeped out by a giant plant that... drools? *shudder* Good thing Samus has that thick suit on, otherwise she most certainly wouldn't want to touch that disgusting thing

I LOVE IT! Super Metroid was my All time favorite game till.... ummm... . Ah, Metroid Prime! It took another metroid title to de-shelf it. This is Amazing in it's detail and it's just Wow. That's what I thought when I first saw this. Wow.

Why the hell do DevArt artists constantly beg people to full-view? Who the hell DOSEN'T full-view? And if they're going around looking at the thumbs and moving on, it's obviously not something they want to look at in any event.
That said, this brings back memories allright. Super Metroid FTW.

I don't know about devartists begging, this is one of the few, if not the only time, that I ask for full view, and it's because the pic has an amount of details that IMO are worth to see at the actual size, not the small view that DA has as a default

i love the texture on this. It's something I don't think that i'll ever be able to achieve. We all know our abilities, and i'm afraid mine is a more solid and thick black line rather than this soft and smooth natural one. Excellent work however and I applaud you for it! Metroid is always desirable to draw, but hard to do (or so i've found)

spore spawn just doesn't get any attention. I'm still trying to make a good model out of clay and those things that grow out of potatos when you leave them out too long.
