RATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATAInitially animated in flash, then modified/shaded in Photoshop. Made a few mistakes here and there... but I LOVE the guns and how they came out in Flash.

I just want to know why everybody thinks these two make a good pair. I don't see anything that these two have in common.

My reasoning is color theory. Pink and cyan (their respective accent colors) are highly complimentary and blend incredibly well. Most people who ship or at least set these two side by side don't even realize that, or do it because of the myth idea of 'opposites attract'. However, my theory is that color theory is subliminally affecting most people who pair them as well, and helping to establish them together.

the forward and back motions shouldn't be in sync, and are too slow.
if you have the gun recoiling faster than the character brings it back, it gives the shot force and weight.
also, if memory serves, a Thompson machine gun has much more pronounced upwards recoil than just straight back.
