This is my entry for The Transformation contestWhat programs or tools did you use?
I did everything on Photoshop CS5 and with my trusty companion, a Bamboo tablet, very old, but my best tool.
Where did you find your inspiration for your entry?
Here in Spain is summer and sometimes flies are the worst especially in this season. As I was thinking about what could be funny to do as an entry, this fly comes through my window and starts to annoy me till I just got tired and left my room.
If I close my window the heat in the room would eventually melt me xD. so I thought of this expression "If you canβt beat them, join them." and instantly this idea of a little boy getting himself covered in flies came to my mind, to the point of making him one of them. It's pretty simple, but I enjoyed making them, every single little one of those annoying flies, I haven't got a visit from one of them while I was working on this, so, maybe they know and are grateful, I think... D=
How long did it take to complete?
I believe a day and a half. had a busy weekend xD

The honey jar is a nice detail - it's being consumed during the transformation panel and is gone when the transformation is complete.
It's bizarre that no matter what you do, where you are or what time of year it is, a fly will inevitably enter a human home and bother them to no end. 0.0

Thanks a lot for noticing it, at the beggining I wasn't going to put it, but I thought it could help with the complete transformation.
Indeed, they are everywhere, sometimes 2 or three at the same time hovering over my head, it's just annoying xD

Your description made me think of the song Sit Down John from the play 1776.
"Someone 'aught to open up a window!"
"No. No! NO! Too many flies. Too many flies."
"But it's hot as Hell in Philadelphia!"
When I was younger and it was hot I would lie as still as possible so the flies could crawl on my and suck up the sweat. I thought they were fascinating creatures. I now know how dirty they can be, but still find them more charming than disgusting. (I will agree they can be rather annoying though.)

It's funny to me how they eat, as a kid I thought they were evil, and that they just rub their little hands becouse they were planning something bad xD
