This is my entry for The Transformation contestWhat programs or tools did you use?
I did everything on Photoshop CS5 and with my trusty companion, a Bamboo tablet, very old, but my best tool.
Where did you find your inspiration for your entry?
Here in Spain is summer and sometimes flies are the worst especially in this season. As I was thinking about what could be funny to do as an entry, this fly comes through my window and starts to annoy me till I just got tired and left my room.
If I close my window the heat in the room would eventually melt me xD. so I thought of this expression "If you canβt beat them, join them." and instantly this idea of a little boy getting himself covered in flies came to my mind, to the point of making him one of them. It's pretty simple, but I enjoyed making them, every single little one of those annoying flies, I haven't got a visit from one of them while I was working on this, so, maybe they know and are grateful, I think... D=
How long did it take to complete?
I believe a day and a half. had a busy weekend xD

I wanted to ask which are the best ways to improve on my art especially on drawing faces.

Well, there's something a teacher told me once, so I say this everytime someone has the same question: The only way to learn how to draw, is drawing.
It seems lame but it's the truth, I was bad as I could be drawing hands, don't get me wrong, I still need some practice, but after doing at least 20 frames of my hand moving for an animation I actually improved a lot.
So, my advise would be, draw faces all the time, in the train, the bus, waiting for someone, or even try doing quick sketches of people passing by, It'll help you improve a lot if you practice almost everyday.
hope this can help you improve, and never give up, sometimes seems like you get worse, but every artist has bad days, and days go by, if you don't feel like drawing, look at others drawings or watch an animation movie
and pay close atention to the expressions, that's something that always inspires me

Thank u btw xD, well, summer comes not only with sun and happiness, those flies are everywhere, ironically, I just made them this so they can leave me alone, something like a non-spoken truce, funny enough,
they haven't bother me since I submitted this xD

haha, you can find some cheap ones from wacom too, some friends
have those and as far as I can tell, they're as good as an intuos, the only
thing that matters is how you use it

I try to build one from an old tft display and a medion pad same size, but that damned display have some metalshielding in the upper part, need another one to slaughter. ^^
