X_X' I dunno if the category is correct.....Anyway, I just wanted to draw something simple straight in Photoshop, and I ended up rendering a bit too much ^^' I got the idea when talking to my roommate about the end of the world, and then I just thought maybe a sunset before the end of the world is a cool idea. And that's how this picture is created ^^'
I am kinda happy with the result, because it's like the first time I successfully create something straight in photoshop, and surprisingly it didn't take me as long as usual.

OMG! I love it! The art work is so wonderful and detailed! I mean! I love it! The way the clouds are spiraling up towards the sun. The circular mostions of the buildings and how they are being pulled up into the vortex of sky! OMG It's so amazing!

love the color of the clouds, and the "flying rocks" work well, though the foreground obviously could do with more refinement if you were going to make this completed, and that head in the front completely threw me off track... I thought it was a pidgeon head. XDv Well, good work trying new things!

I will say it's very impressive that you did the artwork straight in photoshop. There is a flawless balance and excellent composition and layout within the picture, it's something that is hard to achieve an dI must compliment you for that. The theme of the the end of the world is very clever too and the execution of colour, perspectives and angles truly compliment the theme really well. The way the picture is done as if if the viewers are looking up is very enganging; I must say that the swirly (bad choice of work, pardon me) and tangerine sky really gives an impact to the viewers; I feel like I am thrust to sky with the ruins of the buildings. The choice of colour also suggests this sense of death/fire, it works really well. Additionall, I can feel there a tinge of melancholy and poignat atmosphere conveyed by the people who appear to be sadly looking at the final sunset. It also establishes a sense of hopelessness as well. Very effective indeed ^^.
If I can suggest anything (pardon me if it's too nitpick), maybe make the building less blurry. At this stage the building looks a bit lost and it's not quite powerful enough. Just now I was wondering that if the building looks solid, maybe it will suggest how destructive is the doomsday the fact that it tears the buildings apart). Nevertheless, your artwork is beautiful.

Hmmm, I already tried to make the buildings less blurry, but I didn't do it too well ^^' Sad to say that actually I spent most of the time rendering the buildings. ^^'

This is GREAT! "End of the world" themes are one of my favorite subjects (not that i really wanted to end the world...). You gave it some interesting situation. Final Sunset... sounds cool!
