Very sexy, in a reminiscent way. I like how the ribbon contrasts with everything else, yet at the same time, its color is somewhat dull. The ruffles of the dress are in perfect focus, beautiful! You really do need to put more photos up..

I cannot believe that you just said that. But oh well, might be a different culture. ANYWAY, he's a french classicist painter from the end of the 19th century, you might want to check out [link] for images.
The painting I was referring to was the Portrait of Anne-Marie-Louise ThΓ©lusson, Comtesse de Sorcy ([link] ) which is in the Neue Pinakothek, Munich, and one of my most favourite paintings ever.

Darling, I think it would have been easier to understand what in the world you were talking about if you had your facts correct: Jacques-Louis David was active during the end of the EIGHTeenth century, and is usually considered a neoclassisist.

Haha indeed. The painting I was refering to is dated ~1790, so yeah, 18th century.
Still he died 1825, so... anyway. My fault.
Btw, the difference between neoclassicism and classicism is a bit tricky; David's oeuvre is classicistic, his fellowers/pupils are the ones called neoclassicistic.
